ARCHITECTURE :: semi-detached house

project overview >

Private Client
Tarcento, Udine, Italy

Semi-detached villa designed for two sisters and their families.

The clients were determined to have two identical dwellings with a symmetrical and therefore equal attribution of living comfort. The design articulated two very similar units into what appears to be more like a ‘single house’ building.

The cross-line mirroring symmetry of the ground floor is overlaid by the spiral layout of the first floor with one terrace at each corner and finally by layout of the roof set on the slightly de-centred cross diagonal geometry. An ascending mutation of the matrix from ground to top, from two to one, melting the double content into a unique appearance.
